A mobile solution to treat arthritis
As Director of the User Experience Design program at Mount Mary University, I led students in a partnership with a rising startup focused on treatment of inflammatory arthritis. We extended the startup's mobile app to include holistic and wearable-assisted pain treatment.
The students were undergraduates enrolled in a Capstone course to demonstrate mastery of UX Design craft and processes. With an emphasis on business outcomes and customer impact, the students were exposed to the pace and expectations of working with an external client.
I advised the students on project planning, research methods, client etiquette and creative decisions on interface design and visual affordances. We delivered an implementable arthritis treatment mobile app design that enabled our client to further diversify their business.
