Connecting nonprofits and funders
As Design Director at 8th Light, I joined an in-progress project focused on better connecting nonprofits and funders so that they could provide community support in Illinois. I engaged the consultancy design team in applying the Jobs To Be Done framework to ensure alignment with human goals and expected outcomes.
We mapped insights gained from interviews with nonprofit and funding organization professionals using the Jobs To Be Done framework. Next, we identified challenges for both nonprofits and funders that ultimately drove software design and implementation decisions.
Software product design concepts were shared with the client - a coalition of longtime Chicago philanthropic leaders - along with collateral designed to garner support for closer connections between nonprofits and funders. The project further extended consultancy user research and experience mapping capabilities.
